Arjin Roe (AKA Rohan Asthana) is a multi-talented producer, composer, audio engineer, songwriter, singer, and 3D Artist from Houston, TX, now based in Philadelphia, PA. Drawing inspiration from Tchaikovsky to Pink Floyd, he began his musical journey at age 11 using GarageBand and developed his skills in violin under the Suzuki method, performing with the Houston Youth Symphony.
In 2019, Arjin started producing rock music and later expanded into R&B, Soul, Rap, EDM, Pop, and Cinematic genres. He built a professional home studio in 2020 and pursued Music Technology at Temple University's Boyer School of Music, honing his audio engineering skills.
Arjin’s passion for screen scoring led him to NYU's TV scoring summer intensive, after which he scored the award-winning short film "When You Are Ready" and other projects like "Gravedigger" and "The Cost of Spotlight." Currently, he is working on the score, audio, and sound design for "The Painter," set to release in Fall 2024.
Inspired by artists like Tyler, The Creator, Quadeca, Kendrick Lamar, Denzel Curry, and JID, he began work on a new studio album in 2023 under the alias, ghostweaver. Entitled “INTERSECTIONAL INTROSPECTION”, it is a narrative concept album about his identity, primarily addressing his current struggles. It serves as a therapeutic journey where he asks difficult questions about himself and embraces vulnerability. While touching on past identity issues, the focus remains on the present. By the end of the record, he is more open to exploring new aspects of his identity. It is set to release near the end of this year.
Outside of music, Arjin is a storyteller in several different mediums. An early passion for writing and directing led him to found Tales of Nyxia Productions in 2024, an immersive audio drama media company. For their first project, he wrote, directed, and scored the pilot episode of the audio drama "Anamnesis: Ballad of A Memory Thief," which premiered in May 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology from Temple University, graduating in May 2024.
